Statement of faith

We believe the Bible is the infallible word of the living God. We believe in the triune God – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We believe that in the beginning God created everything, including mankind. He created them male and female and in the likeness of Himself. When He finished created everything, He said that it was good. Man was in perfect intimacy with God. But man chose to disobey God and sin entered the world, creating a divide between God and man. Man lost his righteous standing with the Holy God. It needed to be restored.

We believe that God the Father loves mankind so much that He gave His only begotten Son to be the ransom for mankind's sin so that none might perish but have eternal life in Jesus Christ.

We believe Jesus is the Son of God, that he came to earth in human form by divine conception through the incorruptible seed of the Holy Spirit, that he was fully God and fully man while on earth, and that He came to bring salvation from sin and reconciliation with God for those who realise and recognise that they are sinners in need of a saviour, who choose to believe in Him, love Him, give their lives to Him and follow Him.

We believe that Jesus died on a cross to take our place for God’s righteous judgment for our sins. We believe that on the third day He rose again, defeating death and the devil and that through that, He became the ultimate sacrificial lamb for all time. He fulfilled the law and the prophets for us so that through Him we may be set free from sin and eternal death.

We believe that the resurrected Jesus, after appearing to his disciples and others, ascended to heaven and that shortly after that, the Holy Spirit was poured out on his disciples and apostles, and that through their faithfulness and ministry, all those who believed and received the truth of the gospel message of Jesus Christ, also received the Holy Spirit.

We believe that in order to receive Jesus Christ so that one can be in right standing with God the Father and become a temple of the Holy Spirit, one needs to be born again by believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that he died for our sins, was raised from the dead and sits on the right hand of God. And that that belief, that faith, leads to the old man dying and the new creation to come alive in Jesus. Then it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me. We believe that we are called to be holy, just, righteous and perfect and that it is possible through the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit in us.

We believe that water baptism is only Biblical when it follows true salvation. And we believe that although water baptism is no a pre-requisite for eternal life, it is an important step of faith that should follow salvation because it cleanses and empowers us in the spirit.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and that it is available to all who are saved. We believe that baptism of the Holy Spirit will lead to a life that is filled with demonstrations of the power of the Holy Spirit with the main purpose of making us effective witnesses for the gospel. We believe that Jesus still heals people miraculously today through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the church is God’s plan for the salvation of His people. We believe the church is the Ecclessia, the called out ones that assemble for the purpose of meeting with God. We believe the church is the bride of Christ and should live and behave accordingly. We believe that every born-again believer should be part of the local church and serve in the local church with their natural and spiritual gifts (Ephesians 4).

We believe that marriage and family is God’s foundational creation ordinance and His plan for humanity and that doing marriage and family His way is the right way and the best way.

We believe that Jesus will return for a pure bride and we will therefore labour in the ripe harvest for souls, and lead our people closer to God.
